I've not been able to blog recently because my (out of warranty) MacBook Air's SDD drive broke. Amazingly, Apple gave me a brand new MacBook Air as they couldn't fix the problem.
What a result!
As you can see from the pictures, I recently went to Paris for the day with my good friend Olga, you can view the rest of the pictures by clicking here.
I think that I will be making more use of the Eurostar discount that we train staff get. I won't rub it in but the discount makes it cheaper for me to travel to Paris than to Manchester.
I have also decided to buy all my wedding suits from Paris. There's a reason it's called the city of love. The suits are amazing and the prices aren't bad ether.
The group that I am training with will be one of the first groups that will not only obtain a UK Train Driving License but also a European License as well...awesome :-)
This week was focused on Personal Track Safety and Basic Rail. I will be taking the exams for both next week, wish me luck.
My luck hasn't stopped this week, I have also been invited for a luncheon with SWT's HR Director on Wednesday as a result of my entry into their Star Photographer Competition.
I'll be blogging as much as I can but my training currently takes priority over everything at the moment. It's hard work but its definitely the best move that I have ever made in my life.
